How do I make a Handshake account?
Click on the Handshake logo on the Career Services Website at http://www.ltu.edu/career_services/. Click on the appropriate login button, please note that "Lawrence Tech University Sign on", is for current students, if you are alumni please click on "Lawrence Tech University Alumni and Staff" login. Your username is your Blackboard username and password. If you are an alumni and/or do not have an LTU blackboard account, then please click the "Need an Account" button.
What if I forget my Handshake username or password?
For current students and alumni with an LTU email address your username is your Blackboard username. If you do not remember, click on the ‘Forgot password" link. An email will be sent to the email address on file to reset your password. If you forgot your username, please click on the firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Office of Career Services offers a variety of services to assist in career exploration and success. Some of our tangible and non-tangible services consist of job search assistance, resume and cover letter critiques, Thank you letter composition, interview guidance, career and professional development and more.
How do I contact Career Services?
The Office of Career Services is open 5 days a week from Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the A. Alfred Taubman Student Services Center, C404. Appointments are scheduled Monday - Friday by appointment and walk in resume critique hours Fridays from 10 - 11:30 a.m. Please call or email 248.204.3140 or email@example.com to request an appointment. Evening appointments are available upon request.
If I need help with my resume what do I do?
Resume assistance is offered during individual appointments in the Office of Career Services, walk in Friday first come first serve resume critiques from 10 - 11:30 a.m., and during various workshops scheduled throughout the Fall and Spring semesters. For upcoming workshops and events check bulletin boards and the Handshake newsfeed page for locations and times.
